Funding for the Leibniz Research Alliance Resilient Ageing Extended Through 2030

Since 2022, the Leibniz Research Alliance (LVF) Resilient Ageing has been investigating how people can remain resilient and age healthily as they grow older. Experts from biology, medicine, psychology, economics, and the social sciences are collaborating on an interdisciplinary basis to achieve this.

Thanks to the second funding period now approved, this collaboration can continue until 2030. Among other things, the researchers aim to investigate how social and economic factors influence resilience in old age and to develop new strategies and interventions for healthy aging based on these findings.

The LVF brings together the expertise of 14 Leibniz Institutes, creating a unique platform for integrating biological, psychological, and societal perspectives in aging research.
